Our Mission

To explore, preserve and celebrate the history and cultural landscape of the town of Georgetown, Maine

Welcome

GHS doors

The hot coffee will be perking on Saturday mornings from 10:00 am to noon and each week we’ll highlight a different aspect of our town’s history.

You’re invited to stop in for a visit and explore your family’s history, our town’s history, or just peruse our growing library of books about Georgetown’s history and culture.

One of the newest on our shelves is Will Ansel's latest book, What Boat Carpenters Argue About Or I've Never Seen It Done That Way Before a truly entertaining read and not just for boatbuilders!

Visit our gift shop to find something unique that says Georgetown. A guest from away, a special person who has everything or a gift to yourself...they are all inside these doors!

While you're visiting you might consider becoming a member and take advantage of all the resources we have to offer-
