1 pm - Opening reception refreshments and displays, including:
- Summer Exhibit, “Georgetown in Transition: 1900-1930”. Photographs, including the GHS premiere of its 1913 Gertrude Kasebier platinum print, and other early 20th century works.
- Scott Stoll’s Georgetown apple wood sculptures
- The debut of John Jones’s video paying homage to the departing “Singing Bridge” between Georgetown and Arrowsic.
- A silent auction which runs until 3:00 pm
2:15 pm - The Clarence H. White, Jr. films about family summers in Georgetown from 1929-1932.
3 pm - History-based mini auction to benefit the GHS Endowment Fund. Some of this year’s items include:
- Luncheon for 8 at the historic Mooring B&B
- Souvenir from the Singing Bridge, plus DVD
- Half-day Kennebec River cruise with picnic lunch
- Tour for 2 based on Thom Hanna’s Shoutin’ Into the Fog book, plus lunch
- Boat tour for 4 of Harmon’s Harbor and Sheepscot Bay, plus lunch
- Fall migration guided bird walk
- A two-night stay at the beautiful 1898 summer cottage, The Anchorage, on Sagadahoc Bay, which accommodates up to twelve people.
- A visit for 2 with painter Dahlov Ipcar at her home, followed by a tour of the historic Zorach home guided by Peggy Zorach.
